Pt. Vishwanath Sharma Hindu Charitable Trust

Marching Ahead With Its Philanthropic Activities for The Downtrodden Countrymen

Pt. Vishwanath Sharma Hindu Charitable Trust, established in 1984, is a highly trusted name in the field of Social Service, religious activities, health services and scholarship distribution to deserving & needy students. The trust organises examination for scholarships in rural as well as urban areas, every year. The candidates who qualify the examination, are honoured with freeship cheques, certificate of merit, memento of the Trust and a booklet named 'Our Ancestors'. Different self financed institutions which include Sanskrit Schools are also given financial aid from time to time. The Trust provides financial assistance for religious ceremonies, Shobha Yatras, Ramlilas, Shivratri, Regional fares and group marriage ceremonies. During social celebrations, fares etc, the Trust arranges for free Ayurveda Camps to assist the rural and urban population with health consultation and free medical aid. The Trust also provides for mobile ambulances for medical aid to reach the remote and backward areas. Free study material and note books are given free of cost to students who lack resources and are financially weak.

The details of the money spent, mainly in the last 10 years so far, in the above mentioned activities are as follows

In The Field of Education

  1. Rani Laxmi Bai Group of Schools, is one of India’s best chain of educational institutions, in Jhansi, Lalitpur and Datia. Finnancial Aid, to Meritorious students, Wards of military personnel, and Teachers’ wards, of Rs 2954003, Rs. 721408 and Rs. 19488012.

  2. The Trust has been Conducting Scholarship Tests in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Mahoba, Hamirpur & Tikamgarh, Datia, Shivpuri, Sagar, Chattarpur and has extended a financial support to deserving candidates in the form of scholarship ammounting to Rs 5157000. 11616 students have been benefitted so far.

  3. The Trust has distributed notebooks and other study materials to poor students in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Hamirpur, Jalaun & Tikamgarh, Shivpuri and Datia of Bundelkhand Region 235786 Notebooks have been distributed, benefiting 50682 students so far. This year the Trust has to set a target to benefit 5,00,000 students.

  4. The Trust has given a financial aid of Rs. 261800 (Two Lakh Sixty One Thousand and Eight Hundred) to 22 institutions imparting education in Sanskrit.

In The Field of Health

  1. The Trust has organised 50 free medical checkup camps in the urban and rural areas of Jhansi, Lalitpur and Datia. 11182 People have availed the facility of  life saving drugs, free of cost. A mobile hospital owned by the Trust is forwarding medical aid to distant rural areas. Recently the trust has organised checkup camp in Badhera Pahad Mata Mandir Chirgaon, Village Hati, Teh: Tehrauli, Village Itail, Mauranipur of Jhansi district and Panari, Masaura kala, Bamhauri kala, Jeeron, Dailwara in Lalitpur district and Mahoba and 20 medical camps in Jhansi.

In The Field of Social and Religious Assistance

  1. The Trust has granted a financial aid of Rs. 590000 (Five Lakh, Ninty Thousand) to Samuhik Vivah Organised by various Social Institution in this Society. Recently an aid of Rs. 11000, 11000, 5100, 21000 has been given to Samuhik Vivahs organised by Nuvyubak Balmiki Samajik Uthan Samity, Kushwaha Samaj Sudhar Samity, Dwittiya Nishad, Bisaati Muslim Samaj Samoohik Vivah Samity respectively.

  2. To develop education and Personal Social welfare and religious cultural programme, the Trust has contributed Rs. 59,01,000 (Rupees Fifty Nine Lac and One Thousand). Recently the Trust has given financial aid for renovationand construction of Sri Krishna Sankirtan Temple in Sipri Bazar, Ram Raja temple in Mehandi Bagh, Maharani Laxmibai Girls College, DAV Higher Secondary and monetary aid to Chandi Mata Temple in Lalitpur and Ram Manohar Lohiya Kanya Vidhyalaya –Banpur Gugarwara, Sudama Prasad Goswami Junior High School – Talbehat.

    The Trust is Joining hands with regional masses to encourage promotion & education and managing educational institutions.

  3. The Trust has installed 17 handpumps in the rural areas. Tankers have been erected one each, in Dineri, Baghera, Bangra Region Khajraha, Dubki, Bhitaura, Sijauri, Pathguwan, Kachnev, Dhava (Bangra), Gudha, Rai sania, Magarwara, Itayal, Two in Tehrauli, Badaura in Babina region and 4 Tankers have been provided for the Towns and city areas besides Jhansi, districts of Bangra and Madawara Block have been provided for clean drinking water through Tankers.

  4. In the field of Woman Empowerment, the Trust has contributed by setting up 11 Stitching Centers in Jhansi and 14 in Lalitpur where woman are trained and taught stitching garments free of Cost.

In The Field of Games

The Trust has understood the vital role played by games and sports activities in the development of an individual’s personality and has made considerable efforts for the promotion of the same

  1. The Trust manages the Hockey Academy in Sri Laxmi Vyayam Mandir, a Cricket Academy in (Pt.) Ramnarayan Sharma Sports complex. The Trust has Cntributed in setting up of a 6 Acres land for sports events of national level. Recently it has been dedicated for Public use and Cricket and Hockey Competitions at the state level have been organised.

  2. In the rural areas of Jhansi, Lalitpur (U.P.), Datia (M.P.) Sports events on a large scale have been organised and the winner team has been awarded cash prizes and mementos.

  3. (Pt.) Anurag Sharma (Managing Director of Baidyanath Group of Industries, Managing Trustee of Dr. (Pt.) Vishwanath Sharma Hindu Charitable Trust and member of Board of Trustee of RLGPS) has announced an amount of Rs. 60 Lakhs to be utilized for the promotion of Education and Sports activities in Bundelkhand Region.

  4. The above mentioned tasks are being executed in the entire Bundelkhand region on a broad scale. Hopefully all 13 districts will be benefited within two years.
